Explore a procedurally generated world, searching for treasure, clues, and keys. Build your character, build your weapon, and battle the Puppet King’s minions. Secrets abound in this mechanics heavy roguelike adventure.

Key Game Features

  • Procedurally generated world, landmarks, NPCs, loot, quests, puzzles, and skill tree.

  • Combat that is as elegant as it is messy. Weapons can get stuck or dropped, humans can trip, and fires can spread. The player is tasked with adapting to these overlapping elements while battling humans, animals, monsters, and the undead.

  • A weapon creation system that takes weight, momentum, and center of gravity into account. Place a blade close to the hilt for a faster swing or further from the hilt for a more forceful blow.

  • Infinitely upgradable stats and modifiers. Over a hundred different items that synergize with each other and change the way you play.

Inspiration

This was a spiritual successor to my first game, In Celebration of Violence. I wanted everything to be bigger, slower, and more intricate. Visually, I used a consistent color palette and doubled the resolution of most sprites compared to ICoV and I really like the result.
