Prototypes

Over 100 prototypes sit in my projects folder. Most of them don’t have the art and composition to display in a meaningful way, but here are a few that came close to actualization.

“Farmlord”

A cozy farming game that puts strategy into placing and organizing your crops. It quickly outgrew the originally planned mobile platform.

“Battofae”

A Pokemon parody project with the intention of turning a mirror on certain monster-collecting conventions.

“Dark City Games”

This was the game version of a friend’s tabletop RPG. It’s Choose Your Own Adventure style with light combat and RPG elements.

“Holdstrong”

This game was inspired by some art on my Stronghold Crusader box that I loved as a kid (Images 2 and 3). It’s kind of like a medieval army plants vs zombies.

“Unnamed 2D Shooter”

A top down shooter with big dreams. Inspired, bizarrely, by horror elements found in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games.

“Escape from Doom Moon”

A procedurally generated Death Star trench run. Shooting targets and flying close to obstacles increases speed and energy.

“Novusordosis”

The purpose of this game was to make something dramatically different than I’d done before, with an emphasis on atmosphere over mechanics.
